Arabic alphabets form the foundation of reading the Quran, just like any language. In order to read the Quran correctly, students must first learn the Arabic alphabet. Once students are familiar with the entire alphabet, the next step is to learn the three basic short vowels (Fatha, Dammah, and Kasrah), which are essential for accurate pronunciation in Arabic.After mastering these, students progress to learn the long vowels (Alef, Waw, and Yaa). Following that, they learn the doubled letters (Shaddah), the consonant (Sukoon), and the Tanween. These are crucial components for forming proper words and sentences in the Quran.

Students will also become familiar with the different shapes of Arabic letters when they appear at the beginning, middle, or end of words. They will practice differentiating between similar sounds, such as (ص, س), (ض, د), (ق, ك), and (ت, ط), as well as the correct pronunciation of heavy (ثقل) and light (خفيف) letters.By the end of the course, students will have the necessary skills to read the Quran correctly. Initially, they will practice reading examples and verses (Ayat) from the Quran, then move to reading directly from the Mushaf (Quran Book) until they become confident in their reading ability. Once this step is mastered, they will proceed to reading with Tajweed, enhancing their recitation with accuracy and melodious tones.

Important Tip: As students begin reading directly from the Mushaf, it is highly recommended that they listen to Surahs (Quranic chapters) frequently. Listening to skilled reciters like Sheikh Sudais is one of the best methods to perfect Quranic reading. This practice accelerates the learning process and helps the student read with proper pronunciation.

Throughout this course, teachers utilize several effective Qaidas (methodologies) to facilitate the learning process. The course includes Al-Qaeda An-Noraniyah, Al-Qaeda Al-Makkiyah, and Al-Qaeda Al-Boghdadiyah, all of which establish a strong foundation in Arabic that supports Quranic learning. The step-by-step process ensures that the student’s understanding of Arabic and Tajweed is solid and clear.

By the end of this program, students will have a complete grasp of reading the Quran with proper Tajweed, setting them up for success in their Quranic journey.
